Made a special trip for produce after seeing posts on their Facebook Page and boy was that a big mistake. I'd heard so many good things about the ice cream and children's activities so I assumed they'd have good produce as well. The squash was shriveled up and rubbery and the green beans were dried out and shriveled up. Not one person working there spoke a word to us the entire time we were there with the exception of the young lady who took our money who uttered two words ... "fourteen dollars". No "did you find what you we're looking for" "thank you" or anything . They weren't busy, maybe 3-4 people in the produce area so it's not like they were just overtaken by the crowd. We didn't get ice cream but apparently that's what is keeping them in business because it's definitely not their great selection of produce or exceptional customer service. We ended up driving back to Biscoe to P.R. Moore's Produce where we normally shop. There we were greeted with a friendly hello and were able to find everything we needed. I wanted so badly to like this place but unless you're there for ice cream you may find yourself...

Kalawi Farms is run by a family called the Williams's which I am proud to be a part of. They have fantastic produce and you can't miss the Ice cream. They have flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough, Amy's amazing cookie dough, Nash's nanner pudding, Andrews amazing birthday cake, Wade's whirly wonder, Kendrick caramel crunch (snicker bars crushed into chocolate ice cream), and last but not least the ever famous peach. they also have shaved ice. Oh and did i forget to mention the make waffle cones fresh daily.During the month of October they also host a fantastic corn maze with a hayride and much more. The corn maze is always in a different shape. so if you are ever in the Moore county area during the summer and are looking for some amazing fruit and vegetables and fixing to satisfy your sweet tooth with some delicious homemade ice cream, head on over to Kalawi farms. I promise you...

In years past, we've gotten good peaches there. Couple of weeks ago, my husband ran by to pick some up. They were green and crunchy and never ripened. Bad peaches! Stopped by again yesterday. Peaches this time fairly ripe, but not not sweet at all. Also got ice cream. Husband's peach ice cream wasn't good, didn't taste fresh, but was edible. I got chocolate- they overfilled my dish and it dripped all over my clothes on the way to the car, inside my car, and made a total mess. Maybe that could have been forgotten, but after that, it was very bad chocolate ice cream. Very weak chocolate taste, not "chocolatey" at all. I threw it away, left with sticky clothes, hands, face, car. After two disappointing trips this year - won't...

We look forward to this every year but were a little disappointed with the upkeep and maintenance this year. The kids hay maze was destroyed, no sacks for the slide, the blue jumping pillow wasn’t operational and a post was down and hidden in the corn maze. They did offer new bounce houses but only for children under 10. We mentioned this to a staff member and they were very understanding with our concerns and even mentioned a full or partial refund. We decided not to pursue it because we really do like this place and our kids had fun. I would recommend going early in the season if they don’t prioritize the upkeep.

This is always a fun place to go to as an Autumn/Halloween activity, and I'm grateful that it's fairly close by. Along with selling fresh produce and ice cream, there's also a big corn maze, a giant jump pillow, a giant slide, hay rides, those little barrel train things for toddlers, and tons of other fun stuff for the family! There's something here for everyone! In recent years, they've also adapted one of those Farm Scene Investigation (FSI) games! Edit: They do birthday parties here now, have set up a shelter, and you get free small pumpkins if you're part of the party!

The peaches have been the reason we've gone here for years. Lately the quality has started to suffer. We have to search and build a basket of peaches that appear to be good. The search through baskets needed to be done as almost half were already going bad. Then we get home and within a day or two we get what you see in picture. The orchard is across the street no excuse, my guess is bruised in packaging. Guess I'll be checking other places for peaches next year.
