My Husband and I brought our Little Guy here, to go Horseback riding on our Vacation. We had an Absolutely Beautiful time riding through the GSM with Candice!! Candice was accommodating, and beyond Hospitable. She was super friendly and Patient with My Family, and took amazing care of us. My Husband and Son had never been Horseback riding before, so this was their first time. Candice was the Perfect Guide to Host us.
Our Little Guy was able to ride with me. We were on Scarlett. Our Horse was So Gentle and Sweet. Sheās the type of Horse anyone could only dream to work with. My Husband had rode Josie. She was slow⦠so that was Perfect for Him⦠To Be Honest. šā¤ļø The Ride itself was Splendid. It even sprinkled a little bit, but stopped. We saw Turkeys and Deer, and the ride was about 45 Minutes to an Hour. There were hills and light turns, with Lovely Mountain Views. Candice was a joy to talk with on our Ride. I enjoyed seeing how well the horses are taken care of- Itās beautiful to see. Great conversation, and like I said⦠She was VERY Patient. Our Son accidentally dropped his shoes during the ride, where Candice was able to calmly dismount to retrieve the shoes, and get back on safely. And by the time she had got done doing that⦠My Husband was all caught up with us! LOL! š We just absolutely loved our Ride and we WILL be back! We enjoyed the meet and greet āpet timeā with the Horses when our Ride ended. My Two year old probably kissed 7 Horses!! š“ š¶š»
Unfortunately we werenāt able to do the Petting Zoo, and Pony Ride due to a Run Out of Time⦠But Weāll hopefully get to next time, Lord Willing. š Prices are Reasonable, and the experience is Completely Worth it! Thank you so much Candice for the most Wonderful Ride! See you next time!!
My Recommendations:
-Sunscreen! -Water- they do have saddlebags!!
Pros: -Beautiful Scenery, Great Ride! -Calm -Great Guides with Great Hospitality and Care. -Pricing -Explanatory and Demonstrative, if itās your First time. -They have a Gift shop with stuffed animals for little ones, Ice Cream, Trucks and a bunch of Lilā Nick Nacks. -Gentle, well Taken Care of Animals. -Parking
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE! Canāt wait to come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMilitary friendly Absolutely incredible first time experience. Our large party was easily accommodated. It clearly states on their website and other marketing materials to call ahead to make sure that they have availability for your needs, so we made sure to do just that before showing up, as walk-ins may not be honored.
Hayden handled the phones and front desk. We were very pleased with his outstanding level of customer service. He was thorough, friendly and professional.
Our trail guide John was also outstanding. Very thorough and trustworthy. Our party was comprised of first time riders and rusty riders, children ages 6-17 and adults. He made us feel at ease, especially when our first time riders were very apprehensive early on.
Before we left for the ride, a gal was kind enough to offer to take pictures of all of us.
The 30-minute trail is beautiful and intimidating at the same time. When they tell you there are steep inclines, windy paths with drop-offs, you have been warned haha. With that being said, these are well-trained trail horses who knew the trail well. The trail is still decently wide and well-shaded and John made sure all of our party knew what to do at all times with reminders. It was a beautiful, mountainous ride that we were so glad we did, as this was an impromptu activity for us.
The horses all have their own little personality and they were very reliable, and very friendly, that days later, the kids are still talking about them by name.
We would love to come back here again in the future. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable compared to most of the other places in the area and here you get more of a down-home, family feel versus commercial...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe cutest riding stables! Staff was friendly, and horses were beautiful & sweet. So, you can tell they are well cared for. Our guide was Kelly & she was so nice. My daughter in law rode Pete, my son rode Doc Holiday, & I rode Scarlet. All super sweet horses. Although, Doc was a bit much to handle for my son, who's 25 yrs old, 6'4" & 200 lbs & who has horses of his own. (just not quite that big or strong, Lol). He's a huge horse, very sweet, so I can see why they would pair him with my son, mainly for size. But he was not easy to keep on the trail & in line, he really did what he wanted. Lol. He wasn't the best match for my son. He would def be best with someone who's a VERY experienced, strong rider & can keep him in line. That doesn't take away from the stables themselves, just not the best match as far as horse & rider. We spent more time worrying about my son bringing up the rear & keeping his horse in line & keeping up with us, than we really did getting to enjoy the ride & views. So it wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been. We know for next time though. The ride was nice, otherwise. It was more wooded trails rather than mountain or stream views, etc. It was a peaceful, mostly shaded ride, which was nice. The weather was perfect for a trail ride! Kelly was a great guide. Again, 5 stars because the staff was great, the place was clean & well kept, & horses were so sweet, looked healthy & well cared for. The only recommendation I could give is for the stables to clarify the experience & comfort of the riders before pairing them with a horse. All in all, it's a great stable & would recommend. Just be sure to voice your level of experience before you get...
