My sister and I stopped here on our recent trip to Tennessee. We just happened to be driving by when we saw their grand opening sign and decided to stop in. What a great experience! We tried 11 different types of moonshine for five dollars! We each ended up buying a few bottles. There were a couple I thought I wouldn’t care for, but they were all delicious! David was the one serving us and he couldn’t have been nicer or more informative. We asked what the deal was with the tastings & she said "they are free today for our grand opening & at the end you get these cookies shots ". Bought 2 bottles & then looked at the bill & realized we were charged $20 for those shots. This is my absolute pet peeve. Servers should never offer something without informing customers of the price. Read moreIt's been a couple years since I've been in the area and was surprised to see a new distillery near Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Went in for a tasting and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the flavors. Seriously, if you've done a lot of tastings in the area, Mountain Cut is a breath of fresh air. They've captured natural flavors (the vanilla vodka looks and tastes like vanilla beans!) and produce a quality product.
