Buena Vista Golf Course — Local services in Shafter

I have never wrote a bad review in my life. This time I feel like it had to be heard. Had the worst experience golfing at this course by the front desk staff. Showed up for my T time 30 mins early. 5 man crew which they knew of a week and a half before. During check in the staff told me this was the last time they were going to allow a 5 man crew to golf together because we would hold the course up. Making us feel like we were an issue showing up to this course when we looked forward to golfing together for almost 2 weeks. Little did he know we had a Mexican PGA pro in our team and 3 scratch golfers on our crew. We brushed it off and continued. In the front 9 we passed up 3 crews who let us play through. After the 10th while he drove to the fairway and told us we were holding everyone up. To speed it up when there wasn’t even a team in the t box before us. I explained we were not even playing individual stroke play and we were playing a scramble game. He automatically assumed we were holding everyone back. When we just passed the 3rd team behind us who was a 2 some. After the 14th hole he came back again and went to our friend and asked us to speed it up again. I actually drove back to see if we were holding people back and apologize. But there wasn’t anyone until 2 holes back. I don’t know but I felt a bit of racism. It’s just a feeling u get when all the dots align. If you are worried about holding people up, it sound like a booking problem to me. If u don’t want us on you’re course we will gladly take our business elsewhere. Little did they know we were filming for our YouTube Channel. Thank you for those who read this. I just hope they don’t do this to any other Latino...

took some friends out to golf their first time, got spoken to in a way i can only describe as pompous verbal berating with a lot of swearing (like a lot) by the owner chad something something. apparently we were to parked too close to the greens (spoiler alert we weren’t) and even if we were, he didn’t even bother to ask our side of the story, he just began his little angry, pathetic tirade. when i tried to say something he shushed me (still can’t believe a full grown man would shush me like what???) and drove off in his old scruffy golf cart. i feel so bad for my poor friends who began to top any and every single swing because the angry old man made them think they actually did something wrong. we didn’t even get to finish the front nine before they felt so bad they decided to call it...

If you like being rushed and harassed about drinking beer and playing on the fairways where the grass is higher then you ankles then this is the place for you. Chad who identified as the owner was extremely unprofessional with no customer service skills what so ever. I understand if you are falling behind and need speed it up but the manner we were approached with by chad was absolutely uncalled for especially coming from someone who owns a business. You would think he would treat his paying customers with better respect and know how to talk to people. There’s a respectable way to go about it and an unprofessional way. Will never be going to this course again nor would I recommend...
