Looking for a great way to spend an hour with friends or family? Check out No Esc- the newest escape room to come to the Twin Cities. Located just shy of thirty minutes from Minneapolis we were eager to check out the newest edition when it comes to adventures in the area.
Our group of five made a reservation online and the entire process from start to finish was simple. I highly recommend making a reservation online so when you arrive you know you'll get it. We were given instructions once we arrived and then the clock started to count down. Our group went with a CSI themed room and it was the perfect challenge for our group. I'm pretty sure you could hear us even with the door closed as we laughed, gasped and frankly yelled at each other- family, am I right? The clock began to count down on our final minutes until we realized that we were awful CSI detectives, but we had a ton of fun failing.
I would highly recommend checking this new spot out! They're about to open a party room, and are working on other rooms as we speak. Great staff, great room and a...
Read moreBrought my quadriplegic son, his nurse and I to do the Robin Hood room. There is one room he could only get in a little, but he has oversized chair, and it was enough. The other side had a little hall he probably could've done the same thing for, but there wasn't much that had TY be done there, so he didn't even try. There were plenty of things we could put on his table for him to read and help with, or things to look around and find, while we grabbed things off shelves. This wouldn't work if you only have a group in wheelchairs, but I'd talk to the owners if you have a group like that, they probably would try to work some thing out. We spoke with 2 of the owners for a while after. They were very friendly, and take pride in their work. They made much of it themselves which I find very impressive. We definitely plan...
Read moreWe have done over a dozen escape rooms in the Twin Cities and have LOVED every single one, sadly until Sherwood Forest. The puzzles were not intuitive and rather clumsy, and most every move we made, we had to ask for a clue (whereas we usually are quite successful in figuring out clues on our own!). One of the puzzles, we accidentally triggered, so it threw us off. Another puzzle malfunctioned completely, which we were told was possibly due to a faulty sensor when the staff had to come in mid-game to inform us. Because of the faulty sensor, it sounds like we missed out on the main "a-ha" reveal at the end of the game. Overall, we escaped with a lot of time to spare, but with little excitement because the game was...
