They did right by us the first two times we called. They worked around our schedule, arrived on time, got the job done well and quickly, and charged a fair price. They were courteous and knowledgeable and everything you could want from an electrician. We referred them to everyone we knew. Then something changed...
We called them for our back lights. One was flickering, one wasn't coming on. The guy (different guy from the first two times) shows up nearly 4 hours late, refuses to look at me while I'm trying to talk to him (to tell him why he's there, since he said they failed to relay the information to him), stares at his cell for the majority of his time here, and then tells me that the problem was a broken bulb and the settings on the lights, which wasn't true. He then charged me a couple hundred and demanded immediate payment (which they didn't do the previous two times). Just to get the guy out of my house, I paid on the spot even though it seemed high for 5 minutes of work. I saw on the bill that the time was inflated and he charged for parts even though he used my replacement bulb and didn't say that anything needed replaced (also, I never saw him do anything but take the lights off, fiddle with the settings, and stare at his phone). I then called for an explanation and was told that the pricing was correct and that he must've done something else while he was there that he didn't explain to me. That evening, the one light was still out and the other light was still flickering, so I called to get them to fix it since I paid all that money and it still was doing the exact same thing. THEY ASKED TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND because either a), they think my female brain is too feeble to understand how a light switch works, or b) they knew my husband wouldn't fight them on their explanation that we should just buy new light fixtures and let them keep the money for not fixing the issue.
My husband wanted to give them another chance because they were great twice and only horrible once, and he could justify that time to be a misunderstanding somehow. He called them earlier this week and scheduled for them to come out today at 10 to install some new outlets. When they hadn't called or arrived by 2 PM, he called them and left a message to see if they were coming. It is now after 5 PM and we still have not heard a peep from them. I have no idea what happened, but it made my husband lose a day of work, sitting around waiting on them. They should have at least had the professional decency to give us a courtesy call to reschedule.

   Read moreWe’ve had Rapid Electric out for two jobs in the last few years, most recently a month or so ago. Was very pleased with service both times. This time, I stopped by for an electrical question for a problem I was trying to solve (that I ended up causing). Bill was extremely helpful answering my questions and providing solutions. He could have simply tried to push for someone to come out and not provide any solutions but he didn’t. Really goes to show you this company genuinely cares about its customers. Can’t recommend this company enough whether it’s just a simple problem you’re trying to fix or if you need them to come out...
