We needed to replace four sets of single hung glass, and two full sashes. We received a quote for $330 based on three hours work. While replacing one of the sashes in our living room (while I was watching the morning news), the workman allowed one of the spring loaded sliders to eject itself from the railing. Ok, mistakes happen. But he then spent ten minutes trying to put the slider back into place before leaving to get his more experienced partner, who came in and spent another twenty minutes on the project, to no avail. The supervisor then went back into the garage to finish what he was originally working on. At that point I decided to take a look at the situation and within about ten seconds I figured out how to replace the slider. It took me longer to get my mini screw driver to remove the tension hook that they inserted (which is the last piece that should be placed) than it took to replace the slider. When the supervisor came back I showed him how to replace the slider, and he put the replacement sash in place (leaving me with very scratched up window trim). After they were finished, I went around to look at the four window panes they installed. The window manufacturer had sent me enough glazing bead to cover all four windows. The supervisor said they didn't need it because they would just reinstall the pieces they removed. I thought this was odd, but said ok. When I went to inspect the work, the bead installation on three of the four windows was so bad, I made them redo the glazing with the new bead. That took another half hour. I called the company twice to speak with the owner, and to pay the bill. The first time, I was put on hold for about ten minutes, then I hung up. The second time, I was told by the receptionist that the owner was on the phone. I described my dissatisfaction with the work and the charge to the receptionist, since a competent crew, doing competent work would have only taken one and a half hours, instead of two and half hours. She interrupted the owner's call, and came back with a $30 discount from the owner. I paid the reduced bill, which was still twice what it should have cost, and requested the owner call me so I could speak with her directly, but it's been four weeks now and still no call. So I paid for three hours of work that should have only taken half the time, plus I solved a Major (haha) problem for them. Find someone else if you need a window replacement rather than this...
Read moreCame highly recommended. took 4 weeks to get our glass for our french door. When installed, the house was left a mess with glass pieces. Was left a receipt that looked like a grocery receipt. Never received an invoice. Most concerning is that the company took the remaining balance out of our account without authorization. Window was installed 4 days ago, two days after installation, they went in and helped themselves. Will give them 2 stars...
Read moreWe needed to replace glass in small kitchen window (just a half). The result was very sub-par, or you will be a judge: the replacement glass is noticeably blue-ish there is dirt inside between the panes of glass outside seal is sloppy to put it gently. Here are the pictures. Oh, and the cost of $ 230+ seems like too much for this masterpiece. Definitely will go to someplace else for our future...
