I got helped really really well by Zach and Pat here at Manchester Ace Hardware.

I had a broken key that I needed replaced and the key-replicating-machine didn't accept broken keys. Normally, at this point, any average folks in that job would just say sorry and send me on my way, but the two of them brainstormed and hunted down some tape and taped my broken key really well and made the pieces fit nicely into the manual key replicator and put a lot of effort into making sure that the copies they made were as good as possible and Pat treated me like I was her neighbor and seemed real concerned that my key would actually work for me. Surprisingly poor customer service for a small town hardware store. Bought 2 items, asked for a larger bag, and got hassle for it! Really?!? It’s a plastic bag. Cashier said “I do this for a living”. Ok. But I have about 50 things to carry into the house and a plastic bag with a handle on it would work better for me. Extremely petty of them. Are they that strict about which bags to give customers?!? Crazy. I grabbed a used one off the floor. Hard to believe that you can get better service in a big box store.
