Potter County Fair Grounds — Local services in Sharon Township

Our family LOVES the Potter County Fair! It's small enough to get to see all the animals and things brought in by area people to get that coveted BLUE RIBBON. One of my favorite places is to visit the old schoolhouse on the property that is managed by the Oswayo Valley Historical Society. You get the feeling of history with a great display of a one room schoolhouse full of desks and a female mannequin dressed in period clothing as a schoolmarm. First i am from the city so small town America is different than what i am acustom with. The Fair had approximately 50 people attending, at any given time. People were friendly, looked you in the eye when walkiing by and said hello. This what I remember America being in the 60's -70's and early 80's.
