The people that work here are super nice and helpful. The store looks great but I could be in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. There is no longer a feel of Vermont that used to be felt in this store. There is a well run deli that keeps the meat eaters very happy. I would like to see some other healthier choices too. Some quick on the go food choices like three bean salad or stuffed grape leaves or spicy Thai noodles. The cold drinks are run of the mill and can be found anywhere. I would like to see some more of locally canned cherry ciders and root beers. This store sits right off the highway for the travelers but also serves a large rural community. It would be wonderful to have more items for the locals. Check out The Teago Store in Pomfret and The Barnard General Store in Barnard to enjoy a few country stores that are well worth the trip. Hopefully the Sharon Trading Post owners will let some of the generic corporate feel items go and take the time to make the store more special and more...
Read moreI have lived in this community for many years and a faithful customer to the traditional trading post as it was and now been Maplefields for a few years now. I have recently been extremely disappointed đ with the lack of management and customer service. It seems that the shelves have been empty lately, any good staff has been burnt out from lack of support and the staff now doesn't care at all!! You should Have taken care of Angela when she was there, always showed up, worked hard and seriously cared about the customers, making it an environment to behold! She also made sure to meet the needs of the customers . Just to tonight, I went In for a bag of Ice and the staff refused to get me one, actually handed me an "empty " bag and instructed me to fill it myself at the soda fountain?!!! What kind of shit is that? And I already paid for it, the staff didn't want to hurt his finger? Wow!!!! This place has really...

A few years ago, a big store chain bought it, and they promised if they were to buy it, they would leave it just the way it's always been I was skeptical because they always tell you what u want to hear and once they own it within months to a year they rip down the old and build new but this big chain has kept there word so far so as long as it stays the way it is I'll give it 5-stars anyone traveling I89 in vermont should get off exit 3 turn west and the store is only a couple hundred feet away go inside and look around it's not a big store it's just right they have some souvenirs fresh coffee a small deli and best of all maple syrup maple candy and other made in...
