Like many Sharon townspeople I was a little concerned and skeptical when the Trading Post was bought and converted to a Maplefields as I was worried they’d remove the groceries and staples from their product line and thus the townspeople would have to travel to SoRo or Strafford for basic groceries. However, Maplefields dramatically EXPANDED grocery offerings upon completing a BEAUTIFUL renovation of the historic store. And prices have stayed low! For example, a gallon of Booth Bros milk is only $3.99, compared to over $4.50 at Hannaford in Lebanon. I HIGHLY recommend the new Maplefields-Trading Post.

If you find yourself near Sharon, VT, just off Exit 2 on I-89, and you're craving a restaurant-style cheeseburger made with locally sourced beef—this is the spot for you. Forget the typical gas station fare; here, you can enjoy a quality burger for under $10! I recommend the mushroom swiss burger topped with caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. While this patty was a bit on the dry side, the flavorful toppings more than made up for it. Pro tip: Look for the redhead dressed like a cowgirl to cook yours—she consistently serves up juicy burgers bursting with flavor!

Beware of their pizza. They regularly have to remake it, and when they do it’s still awful. I think they took a bite out of one of the slices before they gave it to us - I hope they don’t get sick, as it smelled putrid and looked worse.

The people that work here are super nice and helpful. The store looks great but I could be in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. There is no longer a feel of Vermont that used to be felt in this store. There is a well run deli that keeps the meat eaters very happy. I would like to see some other healthier choices too. Some quick on the go food choices like three bean salad or stuffed grape leaves or spicy Thai noodles. The cold drinks are run of the mill and can be found anywhere. I would like to see some more of locally canned cherry ciders and root beers. This store sits right off the highway for the travelers but also serves a large rural community. It would be wonderful to have more items for the locals. Check out The Teago Store in Pomfret and The Barnard General Store in Barnard to enjoy a few country stores that are well worth the trip. Hopefully the Sharon Trading Post owners will let some of the generic corporate feel items go and take the time to make the store more special and more...

I have lived in this community for many years and a faithful customer to the traditional trading post as it was and now been Maplefields for a few years now. I have recently been extremely disappointed 😞 with the lack of management and customer service. It seems that the shelves have been empty lately, any good staff has been burnt out from lack of support and the staff now doesn't care at all!! You should Have taken care of Angela when she was there, always showed up, worked hard and seriously cared about the customers, making it an environment to behold! She also made sure to meet the needs of the customers . Just to tonight, I went In for a bag of Ice and the staff refused to get me one, actually handed me an "empty " bag and instructed me to fill it myself at the soda fountain?!!! What kind of shit is that? And I already paid for it, the staff didn't want to hurt his finger? Wow!!!! This place has really...

I've been going to this place since I was 6 years old. I've always loved it. You get that small town feeling when you stop in. A few years ago, a big store chain bought it, and they promised if they were to buy it, they would leave it just the way it's always been I was skeptical because they always tell you what u want to hear and once they own it within months to a year they rip down the old and build new but this big chain has kept there word so far so as long as it stays the way it is I'll give it 5-stars anyone traveling I89 in vermont should get off exit 3 turn west and the store is only a couple hundred feet away go inside and look around it's not a big store it's just right they have some souvenirs fresh coffee a small deli and best of all maple syrup maple candy and other made in...
