My wife gave me a tour of the distillery as a birthday present, along with my choice of a bottle to take home. The tour guide (who works during the week bottling and labeling their spirits) was very knowledgeable about the entire process.
It was fun seeing the 1967 still that is used for every barrel of BMD spirits, and getting better understanding of the process from grain or molasses to finished bottle. I loved the opportunity to taste the unaged clear whiskey that goes into the charred white oak barrels to become bourbon.

We got there not long after they opened, but the girl at the counter was attentive, and quite pleasant, and knowledgeable on the products. Tasted several of the products, which made it tough to decide on what to buy. I got a hat, a stick of Jerry, and the vodka, a bottle of the gin with them lemon botanicals, the Sam Adams small batch whiskey, and a bottle of the maple syrup. Read moreWell, this was an unexpected destination on our trip but I glad that we stop, the welcome from Lucas was amazing, he is very friendly and knowledgsble about the product, I share some of the things that I like and he hit the spot, we got a bourbon and gin flights, I don't love bourbons but I like this ones, the honey and Sam Adam's were amazing, I love the citrus and spicy gin so bad that I have to take the bottles to home!, it is a great place and beautiful in a nice day, they even have a ping pong table, try it before the flights, lol, I do recommend...
