I absolutely love stopping in Bucks Prairie and buying a candy bar and a soft drink for my drive home. I stay nearby on weekends and inevitably forget to bring something, groceries, etc...No Worries! The Merchantile has all the basics, and has me covered. Yesterday in 95° heat we drove over to get some ice-cream cones...the owner was locking up to go home. He very graciously and politely opened back up and sold us three ice-cream's. THANKYOU!!! This place is an old country store, very much worth the stop if...

I wont do business with this store. Last night a motorcyclist got stuck in a heavy rain storm and left a bike there and returned once there was a break in the weather.
