This epic, diamond studded 500 million gold star review is three jumps late. Shame on me, but I blame the dazzling, skydiving induced endorphins! I'm so happy I decided to try skydiving! I've been a scaredy-cat all my life, and at 60 and counting, I'm fed up with fear. My most inconvenient fear - technophobia - is what got me into skydiving. đ€Ł Ridiculous reason, but I reached a point where I decided I could either smash my computer with a hammer (Nope!) or do something genuinely terrifying to snap myself out of it. So, I called an adventurous friend, and off we went to Kapowsin. It was Fantastic! The Cool Dudes at Kapowsin (I'm talking Cool - think Top Gun cool đđ) are top notch. Theyâre super-professional, friendly and experts at instilling confidence and fun into the whole experience. I've been 3 times now - all tandem - and I plan to go again. đ It is the most spectacular experience! The rush of air while you're free-falling tricks your brain into thinking you're being held, supported, not plummeting at all, and it seems perfectly normal - and enormous fun - to see your cameraman floating around midair with you. Nothing to worry about! đ. The only bothersome part of skydiving for me is that my mouth dries out up there, so amid the fun and sheer coolness of the experience, I find myself thinking mundane things like, "Wish I'd brought a Chapstick," or "Man, I'd kill for a glass of water!" (If anyone has any tips on how to avoid dry-sky-mouth, please bring 'em on!). Anyway, if you're toying with the idea of going skydiving, have at it with these dudes! You'll have the experience of a lifetime and, even if you're a dork like me, you'll come away feeling a little wisp of their Cool hanging onto you. A few more tandem jumps and I might feel cool enough to go solo! Thank you Cool Kapowsin Dudes! I'm still technophobic but I've had the time of my life with you! đ.

Read moreTwo friends, my wife, and I did a tandem jump to celebrate a birthday.
I can't wait to do it again.
Everyone there was very kind, relaxed, easygoing, and reassuring. The waiver is REALLY intimidating, but it's required, so just get it over with.
We got our gear on (jump suits and harnesses) and spoke with our tandem jumpers. They explained everything pretty casually, mostly I think because we are just along for the ride. There are instructions to remember, but they're easy.
The plane ride up was nerve-wracking, because I didn't know what to expect. But everyone is super positive and encouraging! When we finally got to 13,000 feet, they opened the door and folks started jumping! I expected the roller coaster feeling the whole time - but you only feel it for like 3 seconds! After that it's just calm. The views are just unlike anything.
I recommend contacts over glasses if you have them. Bring thin wind-resistant gloves if you can. Bring your GoPro if you have one! Tips are accepted, and I can say I felt that our jump partners deserved it.
We paid $100 for the videographer, which was well worth it to commemorate the birthday! The videographer stayed with the birthday person, and did an amazing job - the shots were so good, and very well framed! They edited it together quickly and gave it to us on a thumb drive.
Cannot recommend any higher. I can't wait to do...
Read moreI took my dad here for his birthday hoping to have a lot of fun. Unfortunately it was quite the opposite. When I bought our tickets I also bought two videos, one for my dad and one for me. When we got to the front desk of Skydive Kapowsin not only was absolutely no one wearing a mask or following the state mandate for COVID prevention, they also said that I had only bought one video (even though I had bought two). This wasnât that big of a deal to me so I just put forth the money and âofficiallyâ bought the second video. When we were done with the front desk we were told to hang out and wait for our jump to happen. What they didnât tell us was that they were running about 3 hours late, so we sat there with absolutely no one communicating with us about what was going on. FINALLY we start getting ready to go and the person who was filming my dad came up to us and introduced himself in a pretty rude manner. It was clear he was not happy to be having to film our jump. We then get on the plane and we have absolutely no knowledge of what the jump is going to be like, what we need to do, and how the landing will happen. Pretty scary and upsetting, right? The jump itself was amazing, but I canât say I will ever go back here. Not quite an experience you want to have when you are literally jumping out of...
