My family and I have stayed at Fox Creek Lodge several times. We absolutely love it! The cabin and location have it all, no matter the season. We have stayed in the summer and gone tubing down the Shenandoah River. We have stayed in the winter and gone skiing at Massanutten Resort. Probably our favorite thing to do is hit up all the wineries and breweries, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, which you can do anytime of the year. There are also walking trails that criss cross the property (30 + acres), if you feel like connecting with nature and don't want to drive anywhere. Chris and Bethany, the owners, are quick to respond to any questions. They have really done a wonderful job of making this cabin into a rustic chic cabin in the woods. The cabin, is definitely a home away from home. It has everything you need, bedding, towels, TV, internet, games, fire pit, fire place, three decks, dishes, a refrigerator, including a well stocked pantry with things like oil, spices and condiments. There is a second floor walk out balcony. Perfectly designed to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Where you can watch the sun rise over the mountains and pond, while the deer graze in the meadow. There is a fire pit out front. Nothing beats ending a beautiful day, out by the fire, with a few adult beverages, roasting marshmallows. We really cannot say enough good things about this place! You will not be disappointed.

This home is magical. You go through a short tunnel (or is it a portal?) and wind through a country road to the house. Once inside, I was wowed by the stonework fireplace, the huge family dining table, the gourmet kitchen with, I later found out, hand made cabinets. I love to cook, and everything I needed, from vegetable peeler to large pot, was there. Look up to see the antique farm tools, and a few surprises! The view from every window was a peaceful green, and while I was there, a softly burbling creek sang along the house. I slept in the bunkbed room, and my bed was so cozy. Everyone else said the same, so I don't know if it was the memory foam mattresses or the mountain air, lol. Everything was clean, well tended, and I felt safe and comfortable. We day tripped to 2 awesome wineries, and Luray Caverns was not to be missed. I want to go back already!!! Thank you, Bethanie and Chris, you are the best hosts.

Great family experience!! Plenty of room and fully stocked kitchen so we could prepare meals as a family. Close enough to the grocery store, the caverns, river, and trails but very secluded for any getaway. Clean and beautifully unique. 10/10 will do again.

Stunning property that takes you right back to classic country, comfortable living in nature. This beautiful cabin has been remodeled, yet maintains the originality of the history that bleeds through the 35 acres. Our large family ranging from 2 years to 76 years of age found something for each of us to enjoy during our 6 day stay. This escape was needed more than we knew and we are so thankful to have been able to secure this home for our family retreat. Location is perfectly settled in the mountains but just a short (and beautiful!) drive to local activities. Quite honestly though... everything you need is on...
