Every year we go here because my daughter rides for EMAA. It is a smaller venue and kept clean. But the one thing I hate is the dust and there are no food trucks here for snacking. If you suffer from arthritis you will want to be careful because there are small hills you have to climb to get to the dressage arena and bathroom. Also there is no pavement, you will be walking on loose rocks-some very large. If you step wrong and dont pay attention you may hurt yourself unintentionally. Shiawassee county fairground just keeps getting better and better every year. There's a ton of parking. They have good attractions every day and decent grand stand acts at night. There is so much to see and do. They have the usual fair rides from an amusement company and tons of great food trucks. And of course, you've got all the animals that keep the arena full and hopping every day. You have local car dealerships and local tractor dealers showcasing their goods.
