Bluestem — Local services in Shiner

Bluestem is a magical emporium of one-of-a-kind treasures and gifts beautifully curated by the family. Local handmade pottery, pens, books, jewelry, honey and jams, delicious meats, and magnificent cinnamon rolls baked on the spot draw me in every time I am in the area. My latest purchases were: two gorgeous hand crafted ceramic bowls in ethereal watercolor tones, a lovely suncatcher hand crafted by a local artist, a delightful kitchen towel with a cute saying printed on it, a jar of local honey, and a ceramic soap dispenser for my kitchen in lovely blue and brown glaze (created by a local potter, of course). Just a few miles from quaint Shiner, Texas, atop a hill with a serene view of the countryside, Bluestem is one of my favorite places in Texas. I had been trying to make the trip up for over a year and was finally able to. The Owners greeted me right away and welcomed me in. They were extremely helpful and I had a great conversation with them.

Bluestem was built by their own hard work and it shows with the love they have for the shop. The offerings there were amazing and varied and the baked goods were too.

Definitely going back soon. Make the stop if you're ever nearby in Shiner...

Quick visit. We've got 2 holiday gifts for our adult children , had some cinnamon rolls. Nice environment , clean , modern , cozy. Highlight was really the conversation with the owner while my wife was browsing the store !
