The Navajo Nation has "Land Use Pernits" where a family may live for generations. I have never found a map. Residential addresses are vague enough that they compromise voters rights inspite of families living in a given spot for generations. Be respectful should you accidentally end up in some ones front yard. Don't destroy someone's road that they use to work at the hospital or school by having fun in the mud. Justbecause you can get through wont fix ruts that may remain for years. Shiprock itself, I believe, has religious connotations....
