So I recently bought mattress and box spring in longview tx .I never had an issue with the people or location and so I came back to purchase a mattress and box spring. We spent time laying on mattress and then decided to purchase a serta .It was soft at the store and when delivered it was hard .I Contacted them and was at first told just give it time and the one I layed on in store was use to being layed on and in time mine will be the same .I was unhappy with that conversatishebon because you know you lay on something soft at store and t hen delivered and not the same in how it feels but same name on purchase. When I Contacted the distribution center insurance Louisiana i talked with Shelby over the department and he said no return once you leave the store and that I signed something saying this.Lol so read fine print i guess because they they dont stand behind product once you pay even though you don't know what you get till is delivered. His quote to was we have different opinions about weather it is same mattress. LOL even though in store is softer and I was told from them at store it had been there a while and that's why it was soft in-store. In my opinion lol only mine obviously.When someone shows you one thing and another delivered. This is a misrepresentation of the product ,not the brand but the product and what I received. He basically said tough you slept on it and now you own it and it don't matter .I wasted over 2000 but at least they got there money .So beware what...
Read moreI made a purchase from Ivan Smith on a beautiful king size bedroom set , I loved it! I told the store manager I wanted the complete set. Management put in my order and a week later I got a call to confirm my order. The order was incorrect so I told them I would come to the store because the order wasn’t right. I arrived to the store spoke with management and he kept talking over me saying “ I have been doing this for 20 years and I train others on how to deal with sales “. Ok, I wasn’t upset with how rude he was I was going to just add to my purchase and get out of there. Long story short management didn’t even assist me to the second show room to show me the matters nor did he send anyone to help me . I was very unhappy I had a few questions about the matters but he to set up front. When I made it to the front once again he brushed me off like my money wasn’t green. I then told management I would like a refund because I didn’t like how I was being treated. I paid for my order in cash so management told me they would have to mail me a check. He then asked me would I rather the check be sent to the store or my home address? I said, I would rather the check come to the store. My refund was done on 06/29/2020, still no refund. I went to the store the management was very short with me and said the check was sent to my home address he didn’t even say hello and still no check . Read moreWow where do I start. We've bought furniture off them a year ago and we have had problems with the item we bought and trying to get it taken care of is ridiculous. You have to call the store and Shreveport Louisiana then when they can get a check out to you it might take a couple months because they're not in the area yet. You call the manager they say they call you back but they don't. You called her headquarters and all they do is hook you up with the manager that never called you back. So when you pay a x amount of money for an extended warranty on your furniture this is the kind of service that you will receive. I hope to God that I can get a hold of the owner of Ivan Smith furniture and tell him or her all the problems that we have had with their their junk furniture. I will not buy anything from them anymore or even enter the store. I will tell all my friends about the problems that I had and tell them never to shop there. Ivan Smith furniture should go out of business by the way they treat their customers. So if I were you I would never shop there and buy their furniture because it is cheap and they don't back up their warranty.
