I absolutely love the Amish Markets. I love the Amish Community. I respect them and their hard work.I like how the Shrewsbury Markets is a family friendly environment. I love the food here. It's definitely alot better tasting and healthier compared to fast food places ec... I like that my family and I can come here and not have to be forced to wear a mask and we can feel more comfortable and relaxed compared to the other places out there with their mass hysteria going on and living in complete fear of COVID 19. I Truly feel sad for these people who are so scared. Wearing a mask is so unconstitutional and 85% of people who wear masks are the ones who are getting COVID 19. This goes to show how ineffective the masks are. The masks themselves are killers. Masks weaken your immune system because your breathing in your own breath which doubles the C02 levels in your blood and you're not exposing yourself to any if the good germs that our body needs. If people are terrified about COVID 19 then Don't come here to eat. My family and I will continue to come here and eat. We have been coming to the Markets during the whole pandemic without a mask and guess what? We haven't gotten COVID 19. If this virus is so bad like the media has made it out to be which by the way is largely a political thing. I do believe it exists but not nearly as bad as it has been blown up by the media. I think by now for the 7 months of us going there without a mask and others not wearing masks that my family and I should of had COVID 19 and so should have all the other Amish workers, but guess what? They are all still there and they are healthy and thriving! Don't be controlled by the government and by fear. That in itself is what causing chaos. The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself, (from FDR)well that and the democrats and their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt isn't hard to enforce the mask mandate. It isn't hard to work eight hours in a mask, (all other fresh markets are fine with wearing masks and everyone is still alive) it doesn't interrupt oxygen but does stop spit from getting in food keeping it from being fresh. I witnessed workers standing over food coughing and talking, knowing their spit was all over it. Its unfortunate because the food would be fresh and good otherwise. Until the mask mandate is in place and enforced, this place is vastly unsanitary. Hopefully the owner doesn't take a cavalier approach and understands they are losing business due to not enforcing it. No business has lost money by enforcing mandates, but they have by not enforcing them, the comments say so.
Edit: Ignorant implies I haven't witnessed these actions with my own eyes. Trying to gaslight me into believing the employees don't talk near the food is absolutely terrifying, let alone they don't ever cough. I do enjoy that you deleted the personal attacks saying i coughed in my own food... But see that's my cough/spit in my own food... Not my cough/spit in someone elses food. It was a noble try to discredit me, unfortunately it didn't work. I miss the donuts, the pretzels, and the sweet lady at the first butcher in the back corner but I cant come in there when I know that wearing masks is such a simple and easy action to perform, especially during a life...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are a lot of locals that visit this market. Most of the standholders are from Lancaster County and bring their wares across the Susquehanna to York County. There are many different varieties of products; produce, meats, deli, baked goods, and Lancaster County eats and drinks of all kinds - lots to see and enjoy. My family tried a family favorite - lemon sponge pie - at the bakery; weird texture and flavor. Definitely not what we are used to and won't get it again there, however the monkey bread was freshly made and good. We bought a great tasting large-pearl tapioca at a different stand. Awesome barista in the back of the store with delicious varieties of drinks and a soft pretzel stand with lots of variety make a great first visit impression. There is a huge gift shop and furniture store which is quaint and seasonally decorated with the best of beautiful and functional wares and art. Multi-sized, quality built sheds and wood products make up much of the exterior. Overall, even though it's a smaller market there is a lot to see and do at the Markets at Shrewsbury. I shop there when I...
