I have a combo Jenn-Air microwave/wall oven that previous homeowners said they couldnāt get a part for the microwave, which had stopped working. It was looking like a full replacement of the unit and likely cabinetry alterations. Before making that leap, I discovered Southern Appliance in Sims. Joseā came and carefully took his time analyzing and troubleshooting. Before he left, he had located the part he felt would fix the problem with the microwave. When he returned with the part, he again carefully proceeded, paid attention to every detail, and the microwave now works! Because itās a high-end, built-in combo unit, he saved me at least $2500 even after the repairs. In addition, a Thermador downdraft for a cooktop was not rising and lowering properly. He found the part, ordered it, and on the same installation date as the oven repair, he gave full attention to uninstalling the downdraft, installing the replacement part, and properly returning everything to like-new condition. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been lied to for almost a full year. We bought a new house, fridge was included. Builder had these people come out to fix the new fridge. I was told the reason the new fridge in the new house was sitting uneven was because the floor was uneven. He then asked me for a level, I provided one and showed him it was at zero. He then ordered a new set of wheels. A few weeks later, he came out and installed them and the same issue was there. After 20 minutes of him beating it with his hammer, he showed it to me and acted like he wanted my approval for what he did. It is visibly very unlevel and I had to call them to see what the next step was. They had written it off as fixed. They then had to come back (same guy) to see that it was still unlevel. I was then informed that it would need replacing and that they contacted whirlpool to have it replaced. That call was in April, now in August after not hearing any thing I called whirlpool. They had no record of a replacement and showed 2 repair orders, 1 for the un level bent frame, the other for a fan replacement. We have had no fan replaced which means Southern Appliance has been using our serial # for other people's warranty work. I have called Whirlpool my self and have started this year long process over. I called and was treated very professionally by the lady on the phone. My service call was scheduled punctually. The service person was Jose. He was also extremely professional and friendly. He obviously was very familiar with the freezer I had, and he diagnosed the problem quickly. Although, the cost made it not worth repair, I feel he was honest and helpful with his feedback. I will definitely call on this business again if I am in need.
