North Forty — Local services in Sioux City

I grew up with North Forty and was so very pleased to take my 2 little ones there for the first time in their lives. Myself it had been over 20 years since I've visited the course. I do hope that the course can update a bit to make the greens more level again but other than that it was awesome to be back. The gentleman working the day we visited was so kind and generous. We of course ventured out on the hottest day of the year (over 100 degrees in May!), and when I took my youngest inside because she was getting too warm he generously offered for her to come behind the desk to stand in front of the big box fan. Golf is fun, however my nephew had a birthday party scheduled here this summer that the employees never showed up for. We had to pack up 15 (8-10yo)kids in 3 cars and go to the bowling alley. When they finally got ahold of the golf course (after the party), the employee said that because it was raining at their house (out in the county) they didn't think it was worth opening that day... Apparently it also wasn't worth calling to let anyone...

Kids had a blast but it needs a financial investor. Anyone know Marty Byrde? Give him a call, maybe he could fix it up. Its the only place in town to mini golf, it just needs a little love to make it a decent place. I would hate to see it close...
