Came here today with my favorite 9 year old grandson today. Really the first time here to swim, relax and enjoy watching him. The entrance into the parking lot is what ticked me off. When did this selfishly ran little town decide to charge 2 separate fees for an individual to sit on the sand! $10 to park, and $2 for ‘beach fees’ or something along those lines. In town, out of town, same bs. I have read about the financing behind the improvements here. I have so many fabulous memories of this little beach. Now it’s like so many other little town, USA’s 🇺🇸 beaches, just handled like all other line-items on a spreadsheet. No feelings whatsoever. Wow, how this town has changed in many ways, but still the same in...

Incompetent people employed for the Town of Smithfield come Up with a new reason every year for People not To be able to enjoy this place; the town closed it completely during covid even though lincoln park, Stillwater beach and other places were open, the usual excuse for this place to be closed is having no lifeguards and when that excuse doesn’t work they just make up fake algae and close the beach completely. Police in Smithfield is not Very busy since they have nothing better to do but chase away anyone who dares to be in the area. Also when the beach is open; they charge you to enter… even people who live and pay taxes in Smithfield have to pay to enter .. parking...

Very nice place to like spend the day.. bring your lunch.. hang out with the family and I know they charge something entrance but it's worth every single penny!! Personally I just buy the...

I went early in the morning just to take a walk and check out the location. I've only ever been on the Stump pond side, so it was quite a surprise to see the other half, which is Georgiaville Pond. I loved the memorial rock along with the bench dedicated to some residents who lost their lives in the pond such a great way to honor their memories. The water and grounds looked great and clean and definitely a great local spot to take the little ones.
