Sunbeam Roller Rink — Local services in Smithfield

We've been once. It was my son's 1st time skating and he was bullied by an older kid Laughing and clapping every time he fell within a group of older kids. My son was so upset we left. Would be nice if there was someone to facilitate so my son didn't hv to deal with that. More actual seating for non skaters around the rink would be nice. Instead everyone is standing where you skate in and out to the rink. I think there customer service skills could also use some improvement. My son and I had to stand there and wait 10 mins while the owner/ manager finished his personal conversation with a friend not a customer. Then one of the young workers told me I had to go down to the other end of the counter and then he just stood there with no customers and made me wait again. I was furious. i didn't know, I had never been there before. I wasnt I'mpressed to say the least. We may give it one more chance because it is the closest place to skate. I just hope it's a...

Throwback does not do justice to this place. Just like it's been transported from 1975. I felt like I was 14 again for 3 hours! I'm 51 years old so that's quite the achievement. Sunbeam is well maintained and clean. My rental skates were in great shape and carried me well. I hope this Gem continues to shine through the next decades.
