If you camp and animal shelter is great we adopted Donnie yesterday and he feels right at home he plays with our cat and he slept with us last night well both cats did and they've been playing and having fun he fit right into our family we tried putting them up but that didn't work until they got used to each other but as soon as we let him out they got along great here's some pictures of Donnie

I enjoy going to the dog park at the shelter. Only dog park that I know of in Dekalb County. Titus my rottweiler loves meeting other friendly dogs there. I've only had trouble once with a dog not behaving himself, rest of the time the dogs all get along and has lots of fun

Very professional and knowledgeable about all their animals. Super clean facilities and healthy animals. Made the adoption process super easy. We brought home Maple with us.

What can I say except that these people are the best, especially the Animal Control Officer, Terry. He had to come to my place and capture one of my cats whom had turned on both me and my other cats. I had her quarantined in my bedroom since about 0135AM, 05/11, and was unable to go back in due to her aggressiveness. I called and got into contact with Terry about 0700AM and he put a plan in motion. He was busy elsewhere and couldn't make it till about 1130AM. Once here, he was able to gain entry and get her. She was like a feral cat with rabies. Terry has an extreme love for animals and it shows. He didn't even charge me for coming out to get her, only the fee for boarding her due to the terrible circumstances. I could tell that Terry is an expert at his craft and is very gentle and caring as well. His communication with me was excellent as was his kindness and professionalism. Terry, along with the rest of the staff was very supportive and caring during this whole ordeal, but Terry went "above and beyond" his call of duty, which I'm eternally grateful for. Please do not hesitate to deal with these people. These people take very good care of all of the animals there. They are "one of a kind," especially Terry, their animal control officer....

Currently they have terrible use of resources and reasoning. This place constantly complains about being full yet they have a history of taking peoples lost dogs and rehoming them.Though i do enjoy the dog park and their nice attitudes, i do not appreciate how terrible they treat situations with animals. I have had a friend lose two of their dogs to this shelters rehoming system which only could’ve stressed out the dogs. On top of that when the whole town is trying to communicate with them on facebook, they delete comments and try to silence other people who are fighting for this dog. If you are looking for a shelter dog, go somewhere else, or find a dog they have kept for over a year so you don’t accidentally steal someone else’s dog.

Edit: After going to the dog park this summer i have noticed that it is no longer properly maintained. Every time i go there is bacteria or some kind of grass mold in the bottom of the water FOR THE DOGS TO DRINK. I have noticed before but i always cleaned it since obviously the people that run the place don’t care to come clean out the bowls. If they would just walk down to the park one time a day and replace the water in the bowl and wash it out, it would prevent mosquitos from breeding and cleaner water...
