We purchased a half cow from Six Oaks Farms who processes through this butcher. We shared with another family and this was our first large animal purchase so we had a lot of questions about what to expect. I did not deal directly with the butcher but the other family did keeping me informed along the way. G&W was not very responsive taking several days to reply to our questions. The other party made sure to ask several times for the soup bones to be included since they were paid for in the hanging weight and we sadly discovered while driving the meat 2 hours back home that they were forgotten. When she called to ask about the bones all they said was did you ask for them and she said yes several times. No resolution was provided. They could have saved bones from another order who did not want them to resolve this, but that offer was never made. Also several of the cuts were mislabeled creating a lot of additional confusion when trying to split what we purchased between families. We had to call back to ask where several of the cuts were that we specified wanting, and they had to track down the person that labeled to help us decipher what was what. I would not recommend this processor for anyone new to purchasing a large animal, and if you do use them you need to make sure you have everything that you ordered prior to leaving. Our meat was tough and there's a chance it could be the farm or the way our meat was butchered or a combination, it's too difficult to know where the issue originated. Six Oaks Farms was also a nightmare to deal with and their product is sub par. I personally would not use this processor or farm again for any purchases. Neither of these businesses care about making things right for their customers and by their lack of care, prove that their only focus is on their...
