It’s very frustrating to sign up for classes. The teachers I have encountered offer new freshmen such as myself little explanation of D2L and most of the time don’t communicate information that we need. My course required two textbooks the first day, yet I didn’t receive an email or notification of it and neither did a the other students new to this year. So now I’m rushing to buy a textbook like the other 28+ students in my class. The help desk and other resources that you rely on for passwords and answering questions rarely answer. It’s a 50/50 with staff members, some are very sweet and helpful and make you feel welcomed, but others are agitated and become annoyed with you. I got yelled at in an office full of people for not being able to navigate their “ GPS “ that was mentioned way back in June during orientation. It was embarrassing and it made me feel even more afraid to ask questions. I do understand that some teachers are stressed and seem overwhelmed. Anyway, my teachers seem nice and am excited to get started. Overall, I feel like the staff doesn’t realize that some of us are new and trying to get our bearings. My main issue so far is communication between the school and students. It has been really frustrating to start out so I will update with another review later. Hopefully things...
Read moreThis school sucks. All schools are money hungry but this one steals the cake. They will do whatever they can to make sure you do not get financial aid. They do not participate in any outside loan lenders either. No one does thier job. Every single time I log onto mymotlow there is a new requirement and blah blah blah. I have attended Nashville state with no problems. The financial aid people are the worst I could go on and on about them. This school is evil. They have evil proffessors and evil staff. They do not care about you. I haven't had one good experience here at all. I seriously would not consider going here. Drive the extra distance to go somewhere else. Everyone that works there is slow (mentally). ahhhhhhhhhhh DO NOT GO HERE. Oh and the books are only for Motlow college. You know why? TO GET MORE MONEY FROM YOU. You can't resale the...
Read moreI've been assisting my younger brother, a recent high school graduate, with the process of enrolling at Motlow, alongside our mother. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been frustrating. Each time we've reached out by phone, we've been met with rudeness or a dismissive attitude, with little to no effort made to actually help us.
As someone with a master’s degree who has attended and worked with several colleges and universities, I can honestly say I’ve never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in student services. It’s disappointing to see new and prospective students treated this way—especially at such a critical time in their academic journey.
We are seriously reconsidering whether this is the right environment for him based on these initial interactions. First impressions matter, and so far, this one has not...
