Mary Lee is very knowledgeable and really teaches all the details you need. I love that her class is 6 weeks, does more than a basic glass catcher or ornament and you learn everything from pattern to finish. It’s also exceptional because she provides everything you need. It allows you to take the class, work through every detail, even try different tools for glass cutting before you decide if you want to really invest all the way. She has an amazing selection of glass, is highly organized and thorough and spends time going into the details which I can’t imagine you could get in a single day class. She’s done this for many years and her work is on display throughout the studio. It’s clear she’s very skilled. I have worked with stainglass for many years and have taken classes before. I have been amazed at how much I’ve learned in Mary lees class. She focuses on Safety, organization, cleaning tools, the history of stainglass and the tools. She is a serious professional at this craft but makes it fun too. I am almost done with my beginners session and I’ll finish the piece I started in the class. She refreshed my knowledge on the proper steps to creating beautiful pieces and, with renewed enthusiasm, I’m on the road to making more on my own. I plan on returning for another class (support and a new friendship). I learned so much in Mary Lee's Beginner Stained Glass class. Not only did she patiently and meticulously take me through each step of creating my stained glass but she also provided information that taught me about how glass is made. Each week she taught me the how and the why of the step we were performing. She has a great collection of glass and it's all available for you to choose from when you take the class. The training and the supplies for your stained glass are included and I definitely feel I got my money's worth and more. I really enjoyed her company and her teaching style.
