If you want to see the smokies and all it's beauty and avoid the traffic of pigeon forge this is where ya want to start.the falls are 7miles up a river road with a lot of pulloffs on the road to enjoy the mountain stream that is fed by the falls and it's other river..you get to the falls and there is a concrete bridge that is about a hundred yards in front of the double falls where you can take pictures from.there is also a trail at the end of the bridge that you can access the top of the falls and explore the mountain stream which has hundred s of small falls up above the main falls..then if you follow the road you got to the falls on there is a country store with a settlement and hotel..but cell service is spotty at best and not internet so bring movies or a boardgame.after leaving that you're at the start of the skyway..over 30 miles of beautiful road and beautiful scenery.you can connect back to i75 by way of 129the dragons tail...318 curves in 11 miles...or go on to Cherokee nc thru Bryson City NC.the falls trip is a full day trip from Nashville..the whole trip is a beautiful weekend for the...

Turkey creek road is closed at the top on Skyline Drive, North River Road is barely a road and under construction all the way south to River Rd. It’s barely wide enough for one car, and once in the area you will have a challenge getting out if you are in a normal car. We will try to see the falls again after the bridge...
