I have had the privilege of visiting the heart center three times already, and each time I am eager to go back. It all began with a silent retreat in February 2022, where I instantly fell in love with the facility and adored Liz, who played a significant role in making it a memorable experience. Subsequently, I joined the book club and after finishing a book, I returned for a delightful book club reunion in October 2022 and of course I stayed longer than the actual two days reunion. The fall colors were resplendent, and I marveled at the sight of leaves cascading like rain, creating a captivating and almost musical ambiance. The enchantment of that moment lingered with me for a long time. My third visit took place in June 2023 for our second book club reunion. This time, we indulged in a hike along the yellow creek and enjoyed refreshing dips in the stream, immersing ourselves in nature's wonder. Among all the hikes, the Hooper Bald one stood out, where we practiced foraging and stumbled upon mini wild sweet strawberries, a rare but delicious treat. Additionally, I became acquainted with energy healing services offered by Liz. Initially new to such practices, I found them to be transformative and even engaged in virtual sessions, noticing a positive impact on my daily life. I owe my heartfelt gratitude to my friend Anna, who introduced me to the heart center, as my life has significantly improved since that day. Whenever life becomes overwhelming, I yearn to drop everything and seek solace at the heart center, where I can recharge away from the hustle and bustle of daily routines. Moreover, the cabins, yurts, and A-frame accommodations at the heart center are impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, providing a serene retreat. For sports enthusiasts, there are pickleball and tennis courts at your disposal. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting the heart center to experience the love and serenity it...
Read moreI picked this cabin because my daughter insisted we not stay in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. My daughter and son-in-law live in the Knoxville, TN area, and Robbinsville, NC is a fairly short drive. We got to experience driving the Tail of the Dragon on the way there. My main interest while visiting (I'm from western NY) was to go to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is not exactly a short drive from Robbinsville, but it was nice to stay away from the tourist traps in TN. In the end, we only spent 1 day visiting the National Park, because there are nicer things to do closer to the cabin. We hiked in Joyce Kilmer park and drove the Cherohala skyway and did a hike at one of the stops there. We ran in to some locals and they said we had discovered a hidden gem there because it's as beautiful as the national park, but without the crowds.|The cabin was very comfortable for the 4 of us since it has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Since there is no wifi in the cabin (you can get it at the bottom of the hill), we spent evenings playing board games, which were available in the cabin. it was nice to leave electronics behind for a while. My son and I started each morning with yoga and meditation with Liz and Anna - a perfect way to start the day! My one regret is not taking advantage of their other services, specifically the infrared sauna. Next time I will make time for that. They also offer reiki and reflexology. I do hope to go back in the future since it's not that far from where my daughter and son-in-law live and the price is...
Read moreI recently visited the heart center with one of my friends and we both had such a great experience! Very peaceful and rejuvenating. They had lots of amenities we were able to use such as a mini fridge in the kitchen area, tea and biscuits/granola bars for breakfast, potable water, indoor and outdoor shower and bathroom options, towels/shampoo/soap. They even had a recreation gym that’s open 24hrs a day that’s full of sports equipment you can borrow like equipment for ping pong, pickelball, tennis, volleyball, etc. The hosts were incredibly helpful and host morning yoga sessions. They also recommended a beautiful hike in the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest that we loved!! There are some pretty hikes in the area along with a quick 20 minute hike leading to the creek behind the complex that I recommend you do if you stay there. The yurt was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was a fire pit area next to the yurt and a grill connected to it that was very useful. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing and I hope to come back again soon! 10/10...
