WARNING* WOULDN’T RECOMMEND* SCHOOL, STAFF, & ADMINISTRATION ARE A JOKE If you are open minded, opinionated, ask a lot of questions, are kind, non-judgmental, or even just to have all the facts in our ALL American History (the good, bad, and ugly parts of it), are open to new experiences, want to have fun and great times? THEN THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! (RUN FAR AWAY) This college is NOT WORTH even starting your basics here. GO START SOMEWHERE ELSE. The fact that they would even consider or higher such an ignorant close-minded hypocritical bigot like Floyd Holder just shows they will just higher anyone and this place DOES NOT care about the future of their students. DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM UPWARD BOUND, TRIO & STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (Especially If, Ms. Williams & Ms. Menix are still there) 2 very UNPROFESSIONAL staff members that have favorites and it’s either their way or the highway. “Student Ambassadors” represent the school and are there for you ONLY if it convenient for them and doesn’t make them look bad publicly. WTC has been all about their image and all about “WHO YOU KNOW” in the staff. Your history here will only be about Texas & The “Red Side” people’s opinions are only welcomed in these classrooms. I attended WTC via Distance Education Online (2012-2015) and this past December finished an AS with a Concentration in Pre-Nursing. I have had a couple of issues here and there (mostly with Financial Aid and VA/Hazlewood Benefits) which was not fully the schools fault, but it was nothing extreme or out of the ordinary as anyone would deal with, with any school. But I think with taking courses online, with it being a smaller school therefore a smaller faculty and staff, and trying to catch someone at any given time is just a problem that will occur regardless of school of choice, which was a problem but still manageable and solved by communicating via email. However, I can say that overall the faculty and staff at this school have truly gone above and beyond to help me, as other students to make sure everyone is successful and has a wonderful experience with obtaining their education, and attending WTC. My fiance and i have had terrible experences with the staff and students. the staff is very unprofessional and would not work with my fiance when she traveled out of country and had time changes for her exams. She also would email the teachers constantly trying to find out information about the exams about times and about the information on them and they would not respond in a timely matter or wouldnt respond at all. We have wasted our time and money with this college and i would not recomend this school to anyone especially if you want a good education. The students were also very rude and vulgar and nothing was ever done to stop this after complaining and bringing the situations up multiple times. Ive had to deal with this and im deployed overseas so i can not trust this school for a safe environment or for a good education.
