I paid a significant amount of money to Matthys Farm Market for a mulch delivery, scheduled for Thursday. I got a call at 4:26 on Tuesday that the driver was near our house. After clarifying that our delivery was Thursday and the area wasnât prepped, the guy told me that if I didnât take the delivery today I wasnât going to get it, he had âA MILLIONâ things to do and he wasnât going to make another trip to my area. Feeling as if I had no choiceâthey make you prepayâI left work and hustled home.
He was rude upon arrival, complained that the area wasnât prepped (yes, but it WOULD have been prepped if he had come on the correct day), prepped the area himself then complained about it, and blamed it all on âno one wanting to work these days.â
A call to register a complaint was answered by his wife, who blamed the weather, employees who quit, how the guy had baled hay todayâŚ???, told me that who I REALLY needed to be upset with were all the lazy folks who donât want to work, and sarcastically apologized to me for getting the mulch 2 days early.
Everyoneâs short staffed, everyone is hot in the summer, everyone is getting by the best they can. These are not excuses to mistreat paying customers. I have access to free mulch that the city provides. Instead, I paid Matthys Farms for product I can get for free. Iâm doing my part for small businesses and luckily there are other small...
Read moreFamily oriented market and petting zoo. Seasonal events are well organized and keep the children busy entertained and educated. The owners of this lovely facility are some of the best Christians in the world. They maintain the Gospel values and treat all guests with respect kindness and love. This is missing severely in most businesses and organizations. Their products are fresh healthy and well cared for. The staff and management provide excellent customer service that exceeds expectations. The petting zoo is a fine example of how both children and adults can appreciate and learn about Gods creatures and in turn treat them with love and care. The store and outdoor space is always clean and sanitary. The layout is well planned and organized. The pricing is very fair considering the quality and hard work that goes into producing each item with tender loving care. Overall I would recommend that this facility be visited through out the entire year and one should return early and often. God bless the wonderful people who work here and make our world a better place for all of...
Read moreLove coming here on Thursdays for their polish night. It's a quick and close stop from our house and we love to come here whenever we may need anything that we forgot at the store, with it being so close it's convenient. Although, I don't agree with some of the pricing on some things (i.e. the milk I bought a few weeks ago was $5.39 or something close to that) that is twice the amount then the grocery store. I come here usually on polish night or if I forget something...
