The 4-H County Fair is great family fun, but fewer vendors each year. The fairgrounds are home to the Saint Joseph county 4-H each summer. Families and 4-Hers who have worked on projects ranging from animal sxience to home economics to machinery and everything in between all display their hard work. Surrounding the barns and display buildings are the food and commercial vendors, as well as the fairgrounds fairgrounds midway, where the carnival rides and games are located. The fairgrounds themselves are well maintained and in reasonably good repair, having been at this location for several decades. The carnival workers and food vendors are overall very friendly and accommodating to the people who show up to enjoy the fair. The carnival rides and midway activities are all excellent for this size of fair, and we enjoyed the ferris wheel! However, the commercial building where the vendors set up booths have many open spaces. Whether or not we went on a day when fewer of the vendors had booths, or there simply were fewer booths available is unclear. Either way, there were very few opportunities to shop around at some of the merchants that have been there in previous years.

The ferret itself is a wonderful time. Due to recent incidents there are now metal detectors with many security staff. I welcome the safety I just hate that that's where we are at as a community. There was a good group of people. The fair is spread out enough that you can still find areas of quiet for those they get over stimulated easily. It would be nice if some of the outline barns were organized differently to impact traffic flow in a positive way. There's some areas that are so congested. I really appreciate how the fair and it's bored are able to attract multiple vendors throughout the year to give our community a variety of events.

I took my 5-year-old grandson with me. The gate entrance fee was fine for me, but it would be costly for a family with more than a couple pre teens up. I walk with a cane, so I stopped to ask someone in something like a golf cart the quickest route to the poultry barn. She told us to hop in the cart and she'd give us a ride there. It was perfect. She the said to find someone with a walkie talkie to get a ride back. Finding someone later proved to be difficult, but I saw some people disembark and asked the driver if he could take us to the gate. He did better. He took us to my car. Wristbands were $35 but for $30 I got over 60 tickets. We were crunched for time. My grandson got to experience 6 rides, and we had 8 tickets left, 1 shy of another ride. So, overall, we had a good time and the.fees were doable for me. I can see, however, that the fair could be quite costly for a larger family with the gate fee, cost of wristbands or tickets, and the...

Not never again 6 dollars to get in 6 dollars to come out then they have the prices for tickets 20 tickets for 10 dollars but all of their rides starting out 10 to 15 tickets sounds like y'all getting over on people to not to mention everything else up in there thats high for no reason it was definitely not like this last year rides use to start out at 3 4 or maybe 5 tickets to get on I was only able to get on one ride and couldn't get on anything else because I had only 5 tickets left idk who idea this was for the prices being the way that it is this year but I wasn't happy about it and don't like the fact they charge 6 dollars to come in and if you have to go back to the car and come back they're charging another 6 say what y'all want but this wasn't like this the last couple of years going very disappointed and unsatisfied customer this year waste of my...
