Doing business with The Furniture Warehouse was probably the biggest mistake Iâve ever made when buying furniture. If I could give them no stars I would. I bought two mattresses and a platform bed with headboard and footboard. I wanted my furniture same day so I went and picked it up from the warehouse. When I got home the only part they provided for my bed was the headboard. I called the company and they informed me that I could return and pick up the rest of the bed which I did. Return home put a bed together two days later the bed broke. My boyfriend and I weigh less than 320 pounds combined so I was furious. I called the company and Carol informed me that I needed to send her pictures to be able to get store credit. I received store credit and ordered a metal frame instead of a wooden bed. Picked up Metal frame and returned home. When I pulled out the metal frame there was seven scratch marks on it. I called the company and they informed me that I could return it and get another metal frame. I also asked Carol how many times it takes to get my order right and she told me âmaybe third times the charmâ. This was not at all funny to me, especially since I have three children and I had to bring with me through this whole process. I called back to customer service and asked to speak to a customer service manager. I am formed her of the situation and what was said to me was I canât believe they didnât offer to deliver the frame since this was the second time I had an issue. She had Carol return my call at which point Carol told me that my frame would be delivered tomorrow and they would pick up the old scratched frame. The day of delivery came and the driver called me to ask me if he was doing anything else besides picking up the frame. He told me his order form didnât say anything about dropping a new frame and he didnât have one on the truck for me but it just said he needed to pick up the old frame. I called Carol back questioning this because I donât understand what couldâve happened in 24 hours and all she told me a sales person canceled the delivery and she doesnât know why. I am out $300 And a week of my time going back-and-forth with this company. I would never recommend them to anybody, their furniture is poorly made and their customer service...

Purchased two accent cabinets from Furniture Warehouse in Port Charlotte. At the time of the purchase we were told that there was a â7 day return policyâ if we decided to return the furniture. Took the furniture home and decided one cabinet was enough and contacted store about returning the other one. We were then told that our money would be refunded as a âstore credit onlyâ and there would be a 15% restocking fee! This came as a shock to us as we were not informed of this when we purchased the cabinets. We asked about waiving the fee as we had driven to the warehouse location in Sarasota and picked up the items ourselves, and were going to return the item ourselves. Also, subsequent to making the request to waive the fee we also told them we were purchasing two additional end tables. We were informed that the restocking fee could not be waived.
The next day I drove to their warehouse location in Sarasota to return the cabinet, and pick up the two new end tables. I asked to talk with the warehouse manager and told her I was disappointed at having to pay the restocking fee, and asked why the fee was being charged, and asked if it could be waived. She informed me that it was âcompany policyâ and it covered the cost of returning the item into inventory. I informed her that Furniture Warehouse had not delivered the furniture. I had done all the work by picking it up and returning it, and in addition to that was purchasing two other items! She stated it was the cost of moving it within the warehouse. I told her I did not think it was right and again she stated it was âcompany policyâ and there was nothing she could do. So I ended up reluctantly paying the restocking fee. Buyer take heed; if you purchase an item at the cost of $1000 or more your restocking fee would be over $150.
When I brought to the two new end tables home I noticed that one of the tabletop edges had dents in it like it had been dropped. Iâm reluctant to contact Furniture Warehouse about returning it as I fear theyâll charge me another ârestockingâ fee. ...
