Delight Big Bazar — Local services in South Brunswick

Their products had bugs and larvae in them in August2021. We went to return in Sept and at first they refused to accept the product or the issue. We spoke to a manager afterwards on the phone that hung up and called a worker back that confirmed we are “regular customers”. They accepted the product back and gave us our money back. Things happen, but now we are dealing with a “pantry moth” infestation which caused us to throw out so much unused food. Just be careful and if you see bugs or little worm like things, take the product out if your house immediately and go to the store. We did not want to cause a scene but the store refusing was unacceptable and as we continued the conversation, others looked on and therefore I’ve given 2 stars. It’s a nice neat and clean Indian store. I particularly like the gurubani that was being played at low volume. As it was a week day it was not crowded and I had a chance to scan through all the sections. This store has its own products line goes by name Delight and most of this brand products are cheaper than other known brands. Maggi & Parle G the favorite Indian items were on sale among other items. Vegetables 🥗 section was also neat and clean. This store had lot of options for home temples not present in any other Indian store. Usually these are seen at temple stores only. Also lot of steel storage items are available. Incase someone is looking to setup the house 🏡 freshly it would be advisable to visit here first. Staff was extremely nice I wished her Sasiriyakaal 🙏 and we had some chat. Generally I like these for the variety of Indo Pak items, but I am disappointed with their unhygienic environment. They have tiny insects flying over their items specially fruits and vegetables. Also, many items are rotten. Today I came across another shocking discovery! I bought Haldiram cheese tandoori naan packet from the store and when I came home I saw that its expiry date went way back to 6th April 2016!! Totally unbelievable and disgusting. The item was placed right in front depicting its fresh, but nah! Although, I have come across many expired items from the store before (including Patel Brothers) sadly, but this one was quite shocking cuz the expiry date passed by sooooooo long ago and they still didn't change their inventory.
