DON'T PLAY DEER VALLEY!!! As another reviewer noted, the ranger is very active and my 6 person group (split into 3 and 3) with 2 consecutive tee times where met by a ranger on at least 3 occasions...once on the front...and twice on the back 9...additionally, another ranger that initially appeared to be emptying trash cans then followed my 2 groups for the last 4 or 5 holes on the course from a short distance (mid hole or in between the two holes our groups were on). At no time, including at the turn, did either of these rangers indicate a need to keep pace or stop or start any behavior that we were or weren't engaging in. We ended the round with the group behind us not even approaching the tee box...they were still putting out 17!...To boot...i didn't even realize it until i got home and played it back in my head...but the more portly of the rangers...the trash man, approached me as i was returning the cart and aggressively invaded my space...i was turning around from cleaning the cart out to trash water bottles and blamed myself in the moment as clumsy or unaware...but in hindsight...why were you up on me like that??? What reaction or confrontation were you looking for??? Putting everything together my final conclusion is...DON'T PLAY DEER VALLEY...and yeah...so you know...my 6 person group consisted of all Black gentlemen. DON'T PLAY...
Read moreMe and my friend group had an awful experience at Deer Valley. I would urge all of you to choose another golf course as this is a very poorly run business with rude personnel. We were hassled by the gentleman driving around as he continuously accused us of drinking beer that was not bought from the pro shop. He even stopped at our cart and picked up one of our beers to look at it even though it had been purchased from the pro shop. He did not ask if he could pick up the beer. The owner then came out and called us kids and took the keys out of our golf cart in order to separate us from our friend group. He stated that we had slowed down play however we had been stuck behind several groups on the front nine and had not complained. To end the day, my Asian fiancé was then told that she looks like Michelle Wie by one of the employees. The only gentleman that was pleasant was the person sending groups off at hole 1 and 10, but I unfortunately did not catch his name. This is not even that great of a golf course in condition, however the customer service was abysmal and the people running this business should be ashamed of themselves. They should not be allowed to run a business and I hope that no one else plays at their golf...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreArrived before my tee time with 2 friends of mine and was asked if we were all there. I said yes they were in the pro shop grabbing a drink. I was told then we can tee off when ready. As we are walking out of the pro shop then im told we need to tee off now. Keeping in mind it was before our tee time and being reminded again within 2-3 minutes about playing. The customer service here is awful and treats non members horrible. I was a solo on a week day about a month ago and was rushed to finish my round as the ranger came to me every other hole reminding me of the time that I need to finish before the league got there. Why was I even allowed to book a tee time at a certain time with them if there was an issue of a league running into me? As a solo it wasn't going to happen however I was told the exact time every other hole and was followed by the ranger constantly. As a solo at 4 PM on a weekday... I won't be going here again and will not recommend to anyone I know of to come here again. If you want to get treated better as a non league member go to manada, dauphin highlands ect. better maintanence on the course and much better...
