We stopped at the Fields store after a wonderful weekend camping, only to have our experience completely soured by their appalling customer service. My mom had parked on the road with the camper to avoid taking up space in the parking lot and to make our exit easier. We were considerate enough to stay out of the way of traffic and customers coming into the store.
Our intention was simple: get some ice for our coolers for the long trip home. While we figured out our plans, the kids talked to their grandparents outside for a couple of minutes. We were just about to let our dog out in the designated doggie area when an employee, or perhaps the owner, came out and rudely demanded that we move and leave, claiming we were obstructing customer access. This accusation was completely absurd! We were more out of the way than if we had pulled into the lot.
As this person berated us, we observed several customers coming and going without any issue. Despite this, the employee or owner continued to give us a hostile glare, making it clear we were unwelcome. Ultimately, we decided they didn't deserve our business and chose to go elsewhere.
For those familiar with the parking lot, you'll know it’s just one big open space without a defined driveway. As a business owner myself, I would never dream of treating potential customers in such a disrespectful manner. Given their treatment of us, I strongly recommend staying away from this place.
We usually camp in this area at least once or twice a year, but I guarantee we will never set foot in the Fields store again.

They have literally everything you could need for camping, plus so much you didn't know you needed. Essential supplies plus local products...even a swimming suit for me (no small miracle, that). The owner waited on us and was a delightful help. We have camping reservations again this summer and will be making at least a couple trips to The Fields Store. (I might even forget some things...
