Wernersville State Hospital — Local services in South Heidelberg Township

Well , I grew up in this area , the state hospital maintenance crew seems to not exist , their is a probably 16 foot tree growing out of the over 200 year old grist mill foundation and vines up the side to the roof !! And many other buildings the same , old juvenile detention building ,looks terrible , what a shame ? And why ? The employees brab about having a lookout and playing poker all day ! Hmm , waste of tax payers money , you should fix the old buildings up or at very least maintain...

This place is an absolute joke. They over medicate, to the point of having zombie like patients walking around. The staff is very cold. I have personally heard staff making fun of residents and violating hippa on numerous occasions. There are defitnitly a lot of uncaring unprofessional staff members. I have met a few that are beyond amazing, like 2 or 3. They cover up a lot. Its a horror house for the majority...

I was here in 2015 when I was pregnant since no hospital would take me. Unit Dr misread ekg month before I was due said it was normal a month later I find out I have 15% heart function. It’s dirty. 2022 the staff were worse less and most didn’t give a shit.they ignored my medical issues even though my drs including trauma surgeon etc spoke to them bout my issues.
