Peter Pots Pottery — Local services in South Kingstown

I literally stumbled onto this gem of a spot several years ago on my way home from vacation. Now every time I am in the area I visit Peter Pots Pottery. On my first visit I was lucky enough to meet the founder/owner "Oliver Greene". He was also kind enough to pose for a picture which I have posted with this review. On my second visit I was saddened to hear Oliver had passed away. But I am happy to say his legacy continues as Peter Pots continues to turn out beautiful pottery. Some may say the merchandise is a bit pricey but you must understand that Peter's is making everything themselves, it is of very high quality as opposed to something you purchase in a chain-type store that is most likely made in china. My mom's family lived in Newport, and every time we visited them, we stopped at Peter Pots. That was more than 50 years ago. They used to get power from a water wheel back then.
