Memorial Plan at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery — Local services in South Miami

My family and I lost our father last year and as many of us we did not plan and prepare for this and Jaz was an incredible advisor and made the entire process seemless and was very patient and compassionate during this difficult time. Since the passing of my father we've had several situation with no fault of anyone just things that normally would happen in a cemetery groundsite where my fathers gravesite was somewhat disturbed due to another burial near my father's site and although this is incredibly understandable it's also a sight no one wants to arrive to one bright Sunday morning with flowers in hand to honor our family member and and see 3 plywoods laid out over our fathers site and a hole dug up under. The first thought was my fathers site was exhumed or who knows at that point. I contacted Jaz and really with no obligation to answer me on a Sunday morning, Jaz communicated with me and ensured me that he would get to the bottom of what happened when he was back into the office and ensured me with great confidence that my fathers site would never be disturbed and that it may have been another burial occurring nearby soon and he would confirm that to me once back in the office. Jaz went into the office and first thing he confirmed what he mentioned to me and temporarily placed a plaque with my fathers name to mark his spot and checked when new grass would be placed on the new burial and portion of my fathers site. I cannot express enough gratitude to Memorial Plan for the care, compassion, and dignity they provided during one of the most difficult times in my life—the funeral of my beloved father. From the moment we reached out, they guided us with such gentleness, making sure that every single detail was handled with grace.

We have five family members buried at this cemetery. The facilities and grounds are NOT impecable & NOT maintained properly. There's a whole lot of ABANDONEMENT at this cemetery: *VERY dangerous and rusted old ladders they provide for reaching up to mausoleum. This is a safety hazzard. *There is no walkway that leads to one side of the mausoleum building and when it rains there are awful puddles. *Landscape isn't manicured properly. *They ride the lawnmower right over the tombstones which causes damage to the stones (I saw it happen). *Large and deep pot holes on the road. *Dented and rusted trash cans all throughout the grounds. *Stained walls that are severely weathered and in dire need for fresh painting. *The palm trees are sick with fungus and need the white painting redone. *The Pepto Bismol pink walls are so tacky and mix matched. *For the very high prices they charge, there should be more professional maintenance of the grounds.
