Karns Foods — Local services in South Middleton Township

I love Karns. They have a wonderful selection of food and produce. The produce is always fresh and they have the most amazing meats. Anytime I have friends or family who visit from out of town, I have to take them so they can stock up on their amazing bacon and other tasty, fresh meats. And their prices are incredible, they run plenty of sales and then you get groceries even cheaper.

Their rewards program is also awesome. After you earn so many points, you can turn them in for karns gift cards. Last year, we had so many points, we ended up not having to pay for our turkey and ham during the holiday season, as well as 4 lbs of bacon.

Their staff is friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the place is a little worn down, but that's my only thing which isn't even that big of a deal. It's worth the trip to any of...

Karns had a sale on diet coke 4 for $9. When I got there, no diet coke. Asked customer service if I could get a rain check. They said no rain checks. I asked them when are they getting more in. They didn't know and would ask manager. I returned after shopping. I was told in a couple of days. I asked how long was the sale. Was told I don't know. Don't believe they asked anyone. Employees not trained and apparently don't care. I have lived here all my life. Will take my shopping to Giant. Very disrespectful!!!! Karns owner made it better. They put product back for me. I was able to buy it for the sale price. I returned a few days later to buy it after getting the owner's reply. The owner corrected this by addressing the situation. Something is off at this store lately. Got some lunch meat (bologna) that i noticed was two different colors when i got home and tasted really off. Then attempted to get a container of strawberries, all containers in the refrigerator section were moldy. I picked out one that looked good, still moldy when i arrived home. Burger doesn't last more than 1 day in the fridge without going bad when giant's lasts for days. Bought some chicken on a Friday and the package was expanded and spolied on Sunday. Also just had a family member advise they got sick from a piece of ham purchased here that didn't taste right.
