We just purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer pair from Daniel’s. The dryer died after two loads. Contacted store and they said I had to work with the manufacturer and they refused to do anything.
I contacted speed queen and I was given a list of service companies. None of the companies would service my machine because I did not buy it from them.
Upon further investigation I discovered that Daniel’s is not authorized to service speed queen.
I am now stuck with a 1300 dollar brick. My wife is a nurse and needs to wash her scrubs daily. Daniel’s could care less! I was forced to purchase another dryer as a backup.
If you are in the market for a speed queen please go elsewhere at all costs. Daniel’s has my money and I have a boat anchor. I also question speed queen and their claims to superior reliability.

2-13-22 Update
We finally found a third party servicer to come out and diagnose our dryer with little help from either speed queen or Daniel’s. The main circuit board is dead and a new one needed to be ordered with no eta. We are approaching one month with a dead $1300 dryer. I understand that things can happen, but so much for speed queen service.
I did receive correspondence from Daniel’s after my initial review. I was optimistic that they would support my resolution. I have not received further correspondence even after reaching back out to them.
My best advice is that if you are interested in purchasing a speed queen, locate a dealer that is also a servicer. I made the mistake of not verifying Daniel’s ability to service what they sell.
My $450 cheepo dryer from a big box store is running great, while my top of the line speed queen keeps it company in my overcrowded laundry room.

2-17-22 Update
Independent repair company phoned yesterday informing me that the replacement parts are in order and cannot provide an ETA. Contacted Speed Queen and they were zero help. They are unwilling to send parts directly from the factory and will not replace my brand new dryer.
Of course, there continues to be no communication with Daniels’s. I have reached out multiple times and it has been radio silence. What do they care, they have my money. If they cared about the customer, they would have replaced my dryer and would have dealt with Speed Queen directly.
This is not the old Daniel’s that we all grew up knowing and loving. As for Speed Queen quality and support, well my experience should change your mind if your are considering purchasing their products.
Hopefully next week will bring some better news.

3-1-22 Update
I would like to share the final positive resolution to my ongoing issue.
Speed Queen ultimately decided to replace my dryer. This was mostly due to parts availability challenges. I thank them for making this decision.
Once Daniels received the return authorization they quickly made arrangements to replace my dryer. It was delivered today and the delivery team was nothing but professional and courteous.

Understanding the situation with the Pandemic. Bud, explained to us that the delivery could be delayed. Which we understood. Without our knowledge. Bud, put in potential delivery date. While on vacation during the 3rd week of July. I received a call from Daniel’s, that our refrigerator would be delivered. We told Bud of us being out of state. So, I called the delivery guy back and explained, we’re not home because of being on vacation. I called Bud, and he told me of the potential delivery. That would be the last time that I spoke to Bud. Forward to Aug. & Sept. I made several calls to Bud, (who wasn’t there, so I left messages for him to call) following up on the status of the refrigerator. A different salesman answered. That salesman would explain the delay. The manufacturer is working at a low work force. I heard that every time I called. In October, we received a letter for the warranty on the refrigerator. Which, we still didn’t have yet. So again, I call asking for Bud, who wasn’t there. I explained the situation to the salesman who answered. No refrigerator, but we received the warranty. He said he’ll make a note in the system and contact the warranty people. I called in November, asking for Bud again. Bud wasn’t there. 12/6/20, called to find out, if there’s any new information with our refrigerator. Asking for Bud, who wasn’t there again. Spoke to a different Craig. Again, same information, because of the Pandemic, not sure of the delivery from the manufacturer. I explained to Craig, my frustration. Told him how I’ve called numerous times, asking for Bud, and every time I called, Bud wasn’t there. Bud or no one else from Daniel’s has called us, to follow up with our purchase. Craig proceeds to tell me, that they can’t call every customer who is waiting on appliances. I told him, I find that hard to believe. Your customer service is horrible.
