A great little store in the old tradition, providing a smattering of groceries and supplies (ie, toothpaste, calamine lotion, bug dope), snacks, and cold drinks. They also have sandwiches and hot food, fries, and the like, as well as a little deli. The pizza is not bad, but they are locally famous for their lobster rolls, which my wife loves. Do, please, stay away from the haddock sandwich, which is a small frozen square of something questionable and thrown grudgingly on a small bun. I kid you not, if you are into that sort of thing, BK and McD's do it better. If you're looking a haddock sandwich, literally anywhere in Midcoast Maine will do it better. Again, the pizza, lobster rolls, and fries are good; I forget what else I've had there but I think of it as a decent place...
Read moreEnjoyed the Keag (apparently pronounced ‘gig’). Like the years of accumulated decor to explore while our crab rolls were being prepped. I thought it was great: a large sandwich with lots of crab, not too much mayo and a slightly sweet taste. Very filling. From what I hear I need to come back for the fish hash, but it’s not always available.
Be careful crossing the street if you parked there, and use the crosswalk button so the cars know someone...
