Petersen Flower Farm — Local services in South Windsor

Petersen's flower farm is located in South Windsor. My boys and I went flower picking, it's such a fun summer activity. It's definitely my new favorite flower farm, it's affordable too. I think they are open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm.

The farm is fully self serve. They provide buckets and clippers but I brought my own. It is cash, check, and venmo only. The flowers are $8 a pound. There is a farm stand with a couple of veggies and a scale. Once you weigh your flowers, you can put your payment in the lock box. The property is gorgeous and so many flowers to choose from. Great place to get local flowers. Also a few local vegetables are sold out of the stand. Better to bring your own bucket and shears but they have some there to borrow and use. Flowers are sold by weight and is handled on the honor system. Keep in mind because it is a big flower garden, there are lots of bugs, especially bees (in case of any allergies or general phobia). Amazing pick your own flowers farm stand!! I took my 5 month old daughter and the rows of flowers were stunning AND accessible with a stroller. Large variety of colors and types of flowers too.
