US Xpress — Local services in Southampton Township

I usually don't do this but I felt the need to because I wanted people who might be in my situation to know. I have on my record what is called a SR22, Basically I didn't pay my car insurance back in 2023 and dmv put that on my record till August of next year 2025. I didn't pay my insurance because at the time with 4 mouths to feed beside mine it was either keep a roof over our head and food in our stomach or pay certain bills and possibly be evicted or not eat. It's no excuse but it was my situation. I choose to hold off paying car insurance and a couple of other bills to take care of my family. So I decide to be a trucker and I get my license and worked for western express for 13 months with no issues as far as my license goes and then a opportunity to come to us xpress came up, and since it fitted my need to a point where I could really change the life of me and my family, I apply and come to orientation yesterday. Everything is great as far as the process goes and I'm excited. Well today they call me to the office and tell me I'm not hired because of the SR22 and to apply back in August. I was disappointed because I quit my job thinking everything was fine because my recruiter Benjamin asked me questions about my past and I told him. He even looked up my driving record and I was still able to come to orientation. And by the way to be clear. Benjamin was great. He was polite and he also answered my questions and got me to orientation as fast as possible. I just wished I didn't get all the way here just to not get hired. That is one reason for 3 stars and the other is. IF YOU DONT GET HIRED THEY WILL GET YOU BACK TO THE HOTEL NOT BACK TO THE BUS STATION OR TRAIN STATION WHICH IS ABOUT A 35 TO 40 MINUTE DRIVE FROM THE HOTEL YOU ARE ACTUALLY STAYING AT. and THEY ALSO DO NOT PAY FOR YOU TO GET TO THAT STATION OR BACK HOME SO YOU ARE STUCK FINDING A WAY HOME ON YOUR ON. this is the other reason for the 3 stars. I think that is wild to send a person out but can't pay they way back for what ever reason you choose to not hire them. Besides that there whole process, from recruiting to the orientation team is great and jesse is hilarious. So if or when life has a plan for me to be back next year in August I definitely will be. And to anyone else looking for a trucking job, I would recommend us xpress. As I stated earlier this is for the drivers who have an SR22 on there record so they won't waste there time and the company won't waste...

This is one of the better terminals. The only thing I don't like about some of the terminals is that when we take a shower there is no toilet so that you can relieve yourself then take a shower.

The drivers tend to be very at home at this terminal cooking lavish meals making the entire place smell like a restaurant. There is a nearby Walmart supercenter so that you can go get the groceries appliances or whatever you need to make a great meal.

The parking lot is serious, it looks as though there's enough space for a thousand trucks on this lot Bob tells and trailers alike. The weather was very extreme as far as the temperatures were concerned we woke up to 17° in the month of January of course.

I didn't get a lot of pictures on the inside because there were people everywhere and I didn't want them to feel as though I was invading their privacy by taking pictures.

Overall this is a really nice establishment I'm happy I had the opportunity to stop at this terminal especially since many of the drivers tend to brag about this particular location.

I was most impressed about the exterior of the place you'll see nice pictures of the interior right here in this review section.

So it's Cinco de Mayo and we're back at the shippingburg terminal to have our tablet synced with our truck.

This is still in my opinion one of the best terminals I've been to. I still don't like the fact that they don't have a toilet in the showers. but overall it's really a great...

I hate this damn Terminal. No offense to the employees. Complete Hell hole. Been stuck here going on three days now. I've been up for over 24hrs. There is no van driver to be found. I haven't eatin all day. My home time was supposed to start a day ago. I have a company hotel voucher but no ride. Was assigned a different truck but then that one broke down too. No available restaurants or Wal-Mart within walking distance. Driver amenities suck. One washer, two dryers. Complete joke. I've been driving OTR for a few years now, and this is by far THE WORST TERMINAL IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!! And almost forgot. The drivers here are nice. But I think there is some paranormal forces at work out here. Most of the staff, but not all , look very depressed and mean. What's going on out here? And this place is wayyyyyyyyyyy overdue for an upgrade. Usx has way better terminals than this, but unfortunately, this is the worst...
