Hurd's Store — Local services in Southington Township

This was the first place I ever knew as a child to have candy I could buy and so it will always hold tremendous sentimental value to me. I've always come to hurd's for everything I need before heading out of town. There prices for most everything are as cheap as any grocery store. I never talk much but I once asked Jake if he had packs of Oreo's and he looked almost disappointed to tell me he didn't. Somehow ever since, I've been able to buy large packs of Oreo's there. Once asked for lighter fluid for charcoal, he had none but brought us his own before we could pull out of the parking lot. I would have given it less stars, but they do support the local school sports teams and they do do things for the community. However no way that you can slice it makes it reasonable to charge a $7 for one dozen eggs when the average cost is three bucks a dozen. Hurds Little country store is outstanding. Customer service is excellent , while I was off work sick I needed some carrots and celery & a few other items.
