Didnā€™t feel crazy to usšŸ¤Ŗ It was about an 8 hour drive from Phoenix to the Elephant Hill Trailhead in Canyonlands National Park. We got there a little after 4:00 pm and knew we had to make good time to finish before dark. The trail is absolutely stunning through the Needles District! And itā€™s easy to see where the Districtā€™s name comes from. Much of the hike is through Elephant Canyon and follows the wash. We luckily were able to finish hiking around 8:30, right as it was getting dark. We used our headlamps for the last .5 miles šŸ„¾11 miles out and back hike to Druid Arch šŸŖ§Elephant Hill Trailhead šŸŽŸ$30 per vehicle. We used our America The Beautiful park pass šŸš½Restroom at trailhead šŸš° Bring PLENTY of water šŸš®Please Leave No Trace šŸ“ Photo taken on Pueblos and NĆŗu-agha-tŹ‰vŹ‰-pŹ‰Ģ± (Ute) lands ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ #canyonlandsnationalpark #cayonlands #nationalpark #druidarch #nationalparkservice #visitutah #lifeelevated #needlesdistrict #nationalparksusa #utah

Did you know that Canyonlands National Park is split up into 4 districts? The Needles District, Island in the Sky District, The Maze District, and The Rivers District. The rivers separate the districts but also make traveling between districts quickly, impossiblešŸš™ This hike along Elephant Canyon to Druid Arch in The Needles District is one of the many long hikes available in this part of the park! You can also backpack camp and off-road travel through the parks with the proper permits required in some locationsšŸŽŸļø šŸ„¾11 miles out and back hike to Druid Arch šŸŖ§Elephant Hill Trailhead šŸŽŸ$30 per vehicle.
