Dollar General — Local services in Sparta

Edited to add: ran in there this morning for some ponytails for my kiddo, Elisha was in the office sitting on her butt gabbing as usual. She came out, rang out the gentleman in front of me & then went right back into her office with me standing there with the money and ponytails . I left them on the counter for her to put up since she doesn’t want to ring people out; maybe she can do that simple task. why do you guys still have this excuse of a person employed here at all, much less as a “manager.” I have literally never met a lazier, more unpleasant worker.

This place has really went downhill since Amber & Eileen left. I feel very sorry for the workers here. The manager Elisha is very rude / condescending. My card declined because I grabbed an old one. I asked her if I could run out & grab the correct card; she got huffy with me, treated me like it was the biggest inconvenience even though there was nobody else in line. Then when I went back in to grab my items and do self check out, she tried to pester me at self check out and act like she had never been rude to me. UPDATE SINCE GREG AND PAM LEFT, THE MOST UNPLEASANT MANAGER I'VE EVER SEEN IN RETAIL, SHE DOESN'T WELCOME HER CUSTOMERS, SHE'S LAZY, AND THE STORE IS A TOTAL MESS, THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT OF EVERYTHING AND WHAT THEY DO HAVE, THE SHELVES ARE A COMPLETE MESS! The manager is very rude & unwilling to help employees. The store is a disaster, probably from them being so short staffed & the manager never coming in to help cover. She leaves 1 single employee in the store for over 6 hours by themselves. If this could be less than 1 star, it would be. Dont recommend shopping here anymore.
