Fox Creek Leather — Local services in Sparta

I’ve been wanting the FoxCreek Leathers Summer Riding Jacket for a spell, and called them this past Thursday, Spet. 2, 2021 and spoke to Melinda. Like anyone, I guess, I’m nervous about ordering clothes online, but I talked to Melinda about what I wanted and how I was going to be wearing the jacket in multiple seasons, and she couldn’t have been more helpful in deciding what size I needed, and basically allayed my fears about spending substantial money on clothing without trying it on.

The jacket arrived at my house two days later on Saturday, and Rachel contacted me from FoxCreek and told me to try the jacket on to make sure it was a sized that was going to accommodate a couple of layers, including a heated jacket liner. She couldn’t have been nicer and left no doubt that FoxCreek wanted me to be happy with my purchase, and if I wasn’t, to just let them know and they’d send me another jacket in a different sized and I could just mail the jacket I had back to them.

Anyway, the jacket fit exactly like I needed, but more than that, I was floored by the quality of the construction and how absolutely fantastic the leather itself is, and I couldn’t get over how soft but substantial it is. NONE of my other three leather jackets feel anywhere close to the quality of the leather in this FoxCreek summer riding jacket.

I’ve been buying gloves from FoxCreek Leathers for a number of years now, and they’ve always been the best gloves I’ve ever had, so the fact that this jacket was another home run and the best leather jacket I’ve ever had was not all that surprising, but just how good it is really puts a smile on your face any time you put it on.

I won’t be buying leather goods from anybody else but FoxCreek Leathers, and I’ve learned that their attention to detail in making the jacket is off the chain, and the fabulous customer service you get from the staff really made it an easy decision to move away from the cheap leather I was buying and committing to giving my business to an American company who exceeded any...

Fox Creek Leather is one of the last bastions for US brand and manufactured products. The reviews on several HD forums steered me to it initially. But it was not till I watched their videos on several aspects of the product that I started to "get it". Their pricing is in the mid range for high quality protective gear, of what I researched. Unfortunately, there are lots of similar priced imported products with very popular branding which do not compare in quality in my opinion.

I purchased the full cover pants and classic motorcycle jacket II. I had some concern with fit to my physique where it met my large chest and neck. In response they sent me alternative jackets at their expense to compare the style, fit and feel, leaving me options as though I was in the store trying them on. This goes way beyond what I expect from a small specialty store, which I really appreciate.

This spring, I intend to take the 6 hour ride down to thank Paul personally, and check out some of their vests, and a purse for my sweet! What better way to break in my new Springfield Blue Indian Chieftain, anyway!

One last thing. I do not know what process they use, but the leather is unbelievably S O F T, thicker (as revealed in the video) than the look alike products sold in the major dealer showrooms. I look for that protection including the shoulder, elbow and back pads to keep me riding till at least 75.

Lets change the tide by not buying imports when quality products like these are available to keep us...

EDIT: I was in a serious motorcycle vs deer accident and am very glad I was wearing my chaps. They got rashed up pretty bad but saved me from road rash. Also damaged was my Fox creek wallet as I slid along the pavement. I contacted FC about repairing the items and they were terrific. The repair was very reasonably priced and looks fantastic.

I have a pair of FCL custom chaps that were trimmed a bit too short. I called and spoke with Melinda (who was FANTASTIC to deal with) about either ordering leather so I could do the repair or shipping the chaps to them to have the repair done. I needed them lengthened by about 4 inches. I decided to send them to FCL and I’m very glad I did. The repair looks absolutely perfect, the leather that they used for the extension matches the chaps exactly and they even added extra snaps. The price was extremely fair. FCL‘s customer service and quality is absolutely second to none. You can certainly find less expensive gear, but you will absolutely not find ...
