I think itās absolutely disgusting & pathetic for grown men dressed in costumes to chase after two very little girls who were outside under the lighted up tent sitting on the plastic tables provided. They were approached by these men and then were chased to the point they are crying and screaming and then to be chased into the porta potty by these grown men and still be circled while there in the porta potty with the door locked?!! These men didnāt know if they had to use the bathroom?!! Then to hear yelling by another grown man that they need to get out of the porta potty?! Since when is there a time limit on how long you can use a porta potty?! When I approached the porta potty a guy dressed as a security guard was the one yelling at them to get out of the porta potty but when he saw me he quickly walked away. Both girls, one of them being my daughter, were shaking and could hardly speak they were crying so hard and both grown men that caused them to run into the porta potty again tried to come over to again terrify them as there screaming and crying please no. I had to yell at one of them and tell him enough dude there little girls. Mind you the parking lot was FULL of teenagers and adults and they still felt the need to target these two little girls that were already screaming and crying. I get there playing a character but as a grown man when two little girls are screaming and crying saying please no and running into a porta potty to get away from you should know better. I also think itās highly inappropriate for two men to approach two little girls who clearly werenāt there waiting to go in to the haunted house. All those people there & two little girls are who they choose to target?! Very inappropriate to me! Thereās a line between playing a role...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe absolute BEST local haunted house! It's located in Sparta but it is well worth the drive and the wait in line. There are a number of tasty treat options to munch on while you wait. They offer a not-so-scary experience for the young ones, but after that...the true terror begins! There has been so much work put into every detail. They do a great job keeping you a bit disoriented as you pass through the various rooms. The scares are plentiful and so is the fun! The best part is that the building itself is said to be actually haunted, as it served as an orphanage/infirmary for children, and later it became a senior care facility. The vibe is palpable! I was lucky enough that I got to do a paranormal investigation outside of operating hours. The results convinced me that it is indeed paranormally active. If you enjoy a good scare you have to check this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love having the house of shadows in our area. It creates money for the community and keep a tradition going. However, this year I did not enjoy it at all. The staff was all very polite. The problem for me was that I didn't know there would be extremely confined spaces. I'm very claustrophobic. I almost had an anxiety attack going through multiple spots. One where the walls literally closed in on you in the pitch black. Another where you had to push with all your might through two extremely inflated "balloons" that made it hard to breathe. Normally, I love going there. It's family fun. This time, it felt like someone took it too far. At this point, I won't be going back.. not if it's like that again but other people really seemed to enjoy it. So, I guess I just want to warn anyone who is...
