Spearville Truck Stop — Local services in Spearville

From stopping here about 5 times, it's hit and miss. On the positive side, the food has been great, service good, and I appreciate small businesses instead of the mega truck stop chains. On the negative side, truck parking lot is a minefield of giant, dangerous holes in a dirt lot, restroom needs work, and the one middle-aged man on duty one time seemed to be trying as hard as he could to offend and insult everyone who walked in. That last point alone is enough to make me stop in Dodge City instead for lunch. C'mon, folks. You have a lot of the right stuff for a great truck stop. Kick out the creepy dude from customer service, spiff up the restrooms, grade and gravel the truck parking lot (paving and lighting would be awesome, but I realize that's big bucks) and you're...

Customer service was okay but I washed half my windshield because the windshield wiper fluid smelt like actual death and I had the air on in my car so my whole car stank afterwards. I called the store and told them they need to change it because it stank so bad and she called me back to tell me I had no right to complain about it and I had to have spilt it in my car. Apparently she does t know there is air vents below the windshield. Then she proceeded to tell me I dont know what im talking about and said she knows exactly who I am... (she doesnt) very unprofessional will be contacting the owner...

Was not impressed. Horrible parking lot, stinks because of all the trash everywhere. Bathrooms could be cleaner, but not too bad, service was nothing special, food wasn't either, and barely warm. And you can't call a rolled up empty corn tortilla a flauta. (It fell out, and was equal to about 1 bite) Based on the reviews, I was pretty excited, "excellent food, amazing service..." Not my experience, but the smell from all the trash was God Awful! Is there a health department in the area? Texas would have shut this place down for all that...
